As a Junior Project Manager, you will be an integral part of our Project Management team within Smarttech247, a leading cybersecurity company. This entry-level position is ideally suited for a recent college graduate looking to kickstart their career in project management. You will work closely with the Head of PMO and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of cybersecurity projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and cybersecurity while contributing to the growth and success of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of PMO and Technical Managers in planning, organising, and executing cybersecurity projects according to established timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts, security analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders, to define project scope, requirements, deliverables and success criteria.
• Help create detailed project plans, schedules and budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and timely project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns and managing stakeholders’ expectations.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and action items.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of project-related documentation, such as business cases, project charters, status reports and post-project evaluations.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cybersecurity and project management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in project management and cybersecurity, with a desire to pursue a career in these fields.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities, able to identify and resolve project-related issues.
• College Project Management Course and/or Diploma completed is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus.
• Knowledge or familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, principles, and best practices is desirable.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and work well under pressure.
