Smaller infrastructure footprint
As the name implies, IBM QRadar SIEM on Cloud makes heavy use of the Cloud, which allows for a 4x to 6x reduction of requirements (CPU,RAM and storage) per event processor (EP) and removes the need for Data Nodes in your infrastructure. This is achieved by replacing existing Event Processor(s) with Data Gateway(S) and removing Data Nodes from your network.
Simplified Network Configuration
We provide you with a few IPs and URLs for your QRoC deployment, which only require port 443 to be open for outbound traffic. Removing the need for a site-to-site VPN, this simplifies connectivity so you can apply your organisation’s standard network redundancies.
Backups in the Cloud
With all data securely stored in the Cloud, backups are automatically taken every night. One more cost-saving in your environment.
Advanced User Behaviour Analytics
The User Behavior Analytics (UBA) module helps you to determine the risk profiles of users inside your network and to take action when the app alerts you to threatening behaviour.
Better Scalability
The current method of scaling QRadar requires additional nodes to be installed in your environment to increase data retention. Even a simple Data Node requires similar CPU and RAM to a Event Processor. With QRoC this scaling is all done in the Cloud with no additional cost.
