We are seeking a proactive and client-focused InfoSec Consultant to join our InfoSec Consulting team on Maternity Leave cover. In this role, you will work directly with our clients to assess, enhance and maintain their cybersecurity posture, with a strong emphasis on data protection and compliance. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver tailored security solutions that align with our clients’ business goals and regulatory requirements.
Location: Cork, Ireland
Contract: Maternity Leave cover – expected duration 6-9 months.
On-site requirement: Ideal candidate to be Cork based but will be open to applicants within Ireland who must be able to travel to office weekly for team collaborations.

Key Responsibilities
· Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on information security best practices, frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).
· Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses and maturity reviews to evaluate clients’ current security posture and recommend actionable improvements.
· Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant data protection and cybersecurity regulations and standards.
· Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of consulting services and alignment with client needs.
· Prepare clear, concise and professional reports, policies and documentation to support client engagements and internal knowledge sharing.
· Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, technologies and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the value delivered to clients.
Required Qualifications
· 2–3 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity consulting, or a related field.
· Strong understanding of data protection regulations and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
· Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and explain complex topics clearly.
· Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
· Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
· Experience supporting clients through security audits or certification processes.
· Familiarity with risk management tools or GRC platforms.
