Smarttech247 is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Security Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Information Security Consultancy team in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our data security & governance services to our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, clients and internal stakeholders to implement and maintain effective data security & governance processes and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with a passion for cybersecurity and data management to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Location: Reporting to our HQ in Cork, Ireland, but open to applicants based in Northern Ireland, UK, Romania or Poland.
Responsibilities
· Assist the client facing Information Security Consultancy Team in executing and overseeing data security initiatives using tools such as Data Security Posture Management tools and Data Loss Prevention.
· Assist with the design and implementation of data security programmes for our clients in collaboration with the Information Security Consultancy Team.
· Support the Information Security Consultancy Team in coordinating and facilitating training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams.
· Work closely with clients to understand their technical solution requirements, providing guidance and recommendations on best practices and industry standards for data security.
· Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical solution documentation, including runbooks, policies, procedures, guidelines and training materials.
· Assist in conducting regular technical solution audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities.
· Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement data security frameworks and methodologies that align with business objectives and client needs.
Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
· Familiarity with on Prem/cloud storage/networks/servers, access controls, Windows OS’s and M365 features around storage/virtualisation.
· Familiarity with DSPM and DLP tools (such as Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, Symantec) is required.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical data practices into clear business processes.
· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
· Any relevant certifications is a plus.
