Why We Built This Programme
Cybersecurity has a well documented skills gap, and women remain significantly under-represented in the industry. Smarttech247 built the Women in Cybersecurity Academy to open a practical, supported route in, for women who want a career in cyber but have not had the chance to build the hands-on experience employers ask for.
The programme is run and taught by working analysts, threat hunters and penetration testers from Smarttech247's own Security Operations Centres, so participants learn on the same kind of problems they would face on the job.

Within the academy, I have studied cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, threat intelligence and analysis, cloud security, compliance and risk management, incident response, and ethical hacking. Additionally, I gained practical experience using Splunk SIEM! Overall, it has been a privilege to be a scholar and to have been offered this opportunity!
